WR Piranhas Spring and Summer Season Notes #2

We're so excited to have everyone in the water! A few important updates and reminders as we get rolling:

🏊 REMINDER - EXTRA SUPPORT FOR NEW SWIMMERS For brand-new swimmers who are still working on making it the length of the pool or getting comfortable in a group setting, we're offering a separate smaller-group practice from 3:30–4:00 PM with our coaches. This is a great opportunity for newer swimmers to build confidence in a more supportive environment.

📣 HELP US GROW THE TEAM We're still recruiting swimmers for both spring training and summer swim team! Now that our newer families have had a chance to meet the coaches and see what Piranhas is all about, we'd love for you to spread the word. Feel free to invite friends and neighbors to join — or if they're just curious, they're welcome to come watch a spring practice! Especially at Anderson Pool in the summer, we have plenty of room and more swimmers, means more relays, less volunteering and more fun!

👕 SUMMER SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION – TIE-DYE DEADLINE: APRIL 30 Summer registration is open now, and here's a fun reason to sign up early: register by April 30 and your swimmer is guaranteed a t-shirt to tie-dye at our event on May 17! All swimmers receive a t-shirt and cap regardless of when they register, but the tie-dye shirts are reserved for those signed up by the deadline.

📅 MARK YOUR CALENDARS

  • May 3 – Summer Season Information Meeting, 5:00 PM Held in a community room at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center. If your swimmer is in the first practice group, plan to stay a few extra minutes, get them out of the water, and head over to join us. If you have an older swimmer who can head to the pool independently, feel free to come straight to the meeting.
  • May 11 – Yes, we do have practice on Mother's Day! 💐
  • May 17  Tie Dye Party  after practice.  Join us after practice, outside the pool at the rec center to tie dye our Piranhas t-shirts,  meet some new people and have some snacks.
  • May 29 – First Day of Summer Season Practice! 🎉

As always, thank you for being part of the Piranhas family. It's going to be a fantastic season! Go Piranhas! 🐟

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Matt
