Hi Piranhas Families,

Lots of news.  My apologies for a long note. Topics include, Saturday meet, League, Gear, Times.

Anderson is back open.  Unnamed sources spied certain coaches practicing water ballet routines this afternoon.

Saturday Dual Meet with 5 Parks - Warmup 6 am.

As Coach Aiden said - this Saturday is our last regular home meet.  As this is our third home meet, you pretty much know the routine.  When our swimmers are warming at 6 am, help move stuff - chairs, blocks, tents, etc. This is a dual meet - which should finish up by 11.

The theme for this meet is Mardi Gras.  We will be giving beads out to heat winners, Mardi Gras music and a Snowball (aka snow cone) stand*.

What to do?  Sign up for meet entries and volunteer roles before you get a reminder Wednesday evening.

League Meet July 19th

We will be sharing more information about League in the next week.  But here are some details.  The role of hosting league rotates between FSA teams, with seven FSA teams it has been a while since we hosted.

• This is the 65th Annual FSA League Championship.   This is older than Wheat Ridge which incorporated in 1969.
• You have to qualify to swim league.  League times and personal best times can be found on Swimtopia.
• Relays only need one swimmer who has qualified for league.  This means to fill out relays, we will need some swimmers that haven't qualified.
• As host, we get to delegate a lot of responsibilities like heating, computer work, most timing, but we will still need a lot of help.  More on this soon.
• League is exciting.  The swimmers are all heated according to times, so races are close.  Top swimmers are trying to make state.

League Meet Shirts and Gear

If you are attending the League Meet on July 19th at Anderson and are interested in pre-ordering t-shirts or gear, please visit the online store HERE. We will be selling some merchandise the day of the meet, but there are many advantages to pre-ordering exactly what you want before Monday June 30th. The selection of sizes, styles and colors is much greater when you order online now. Gear will be ready for pickup at the meet so there are no shipping charges. Orders made now take advantage of volume discounts. Orders placed after June 30th will be more expensive and require shipping.

(fyi - the Piranhas club make money from League merchandise)

Times

Times from Green Moutain and the AAC Pentathlon have been updated in Swimtopia.

I will stop here this note is already way too long.

Chomp Chomp

Matt

* In all honesty and in deference to NOLA, we will have snow cones - not snowballs which can only be had in the Cresent City.
